The only way for me to get the VM to fill the entire window again is to switch it to a lower resolution (say 1440x900) and then switch it back to 1680x1050. If I right-click the Win 7 desktop in the VM to change the resolution back to 1680x1050, it shows that it is already (still) set to 1680x1050. When I restore the window, however, Fusion now changes the resolution of the VM while keeping the restored window the same size - i.e., the window reopens at 1680x1050 but Win 7 is now shown at less than that with a black bar on either side - leading to everything being slightly out of focus. The monitor resolution is 1920x1200 and I usu have the VM resolution (window size) set to 1680x1050.Īfter upgrade to 4.1, I can minimize the VM window into the Mac dock by using the yellow 'minimize' button. I use an external monitor by itself (MBP lid closed) and do not use Spaces. I ran into a related issue windowed mode on 4.1.0. Then fire up your vm's and install the vmware tools. Restart the MAC for good measure, but not necessary, Then install 4.0.2. Use Command + Tab to see if it is running.Ĭlick your applications icon in the dock and choose the last icon for "Open in Finder", then once viewing applications folder in finder, drag the vmware fusion icon to the trash. In your vm's, it may not be necessary but I uninstalled vmware tools from each of the 3 vm's that I use and shut them down.Įdit: Make sure you do Command + Q to fully exit Fusion.
just click the "View History" on the 4.1.0 download to see the 4.0.2 and download. I didn't mess with Time Machine after all, I'm back on 4.0.2 and loving it again.
